CBS17: Affordable homeownership coming to Wake County with cottages in historic area

 In Wake County's historic Idlewild area, the Raleigh Area Land Trust has secured $8.3 million to develop 18 affordable homes, aiming to address the pressing need for affordable housing. With support from Raleigh, construction is set to begin this summer, with families expected to move in by the end of next year, and a long-term goal of constructing 100 homes over the next five years to maintain affordability in the neighborhood.
